Airports

Airports are so cool.
I've been in the Korean airport so many times now.

If you walk around the whole time with headphones and listening to music, it's a very surreal experience. You are in the airport, but you don't feel the airport vibe. You just go your way, and do your thing.

Or maybe I'm just zoning out because I'm tired.

Regardless...

I still really enjoy the airport environment.

Love and other things

I haven't had many relationships in my life, and haven't felt a very strong connections or love in those relationships.

But sometimes I get glimpses and get samples of what it would be like to have a good, strong and loving connection.

And then I realize what I'm missing.

It's such a strong human experience, that it changes everything after you experience it.

I wasn't really aware of how wonderful it can be, so I never really put a lot of effort into getting it for myself.

Never really knew what I was missing.

Now I am.

Now I want it.

I want that journey, that growing together, that sharing, that caring, that trust, that understanding.

New People

Yesterday I had a fantastic evening.

I went down to Sokcho beach and met some new very cool people. They were Canadians, and all in my age group.

Maybe we are all at a similar time in our lives, gone through similar things, and maybe that's why we clicked so well.

No drama, no fakeness, no cliqueness, just normal people, hanging out and doing normal things.

Two of the guys are neighbours, and one of them is a long time friend with another one of the guys. So, I guess they don't have to go through the games and pretenses that a lot of other new people seem to be going through here.

We had a great day on the beach, followed by dinner, karaoke, and a house party.

5km - 1nd Marathon, Gangneung - July 1, 2012

Yesterday I ran my first marathon.

It was amazing!!!!

It was only 5km, but for someone who has never run before, didn't practice running, and until recent was overweight, running this marathon was absolutely amazing!!

I'm hooked!

Today I'm going to the Nike store and buying the chip that goes in your shoe and records your running stats. It can tell you your running speed, your distance, your time and calories burned. I've got an iPod touch so the Nike program is already installed there.

I have a track close to my house where I can go and practice for the next marathon.

For the first time, I did 5km in 42:46 minutes. WOW!!

We all did a funny face. There are better ones of normal faces. Waiting for people to upload them and pass them on. Until then, this is all I got.
