Everdale in Early Spring

So it started on April 7th. My 8 month long farming internship at Everdale Farm is my way of starting new, of following my own path and finding my bliss.

Long time

It's been such a long time since I've written an entry on here.

I've been fully immersed in my experiences.

I feel like today is the first day in a long time that I'm truly able to look back and reflect objectively.

It's been a wild ride so far, and I'm pretty sure I won't be stopping that any time soon :).

Pictures and stories will come soon.

Reflection

I am a reflection
You are a reflection
So you are me
And I am you
How I treat you
I treat myself
The problems you have
I have
To help you
I help myself
To be kind to you
I am kind to myself
The problems are many
But they can be resolved
One by one
Time and time again
The road to awareness is a long one
Only together
Are we one

We are all one

New Blog

I realize I have so many great resources, articles and information when it comes to off-grid, natural building, scavenging, cooking, free building, foraging, natural remedies, cheap ways to travel, eco-communities, green living, personal development, great books to read... oh, so many wonderful things that are worth sharing.

So, I think I'm going to start a professional blog, to share that information.

I'll post that new blog on here as soon as I've got it ready.

A bit of waiting

Well, I've done a bit of helpx (unsuccessfully), went on a great vacation with my mom to Cuba where we relaxed and bonded and ate and drank and lazied around and just generally had a wonderful time. Then, I went to the Vipassana Center north of Toronto and served in the kitchen for 11 days. It was eye-opening and fantastic. I'm glad I was able to reignite my desire for meditation and spirituality. It's given me an in into a wonderful community and a direction to aspire to. Now, I've got just over a week left and then I'm off to do my farming internship. I can't wait. I just can't wait to start that.

I'm nervous, and full of doubt, but I think I'm choosing the right path to go on. I hope this will take me into the future I want and that it will make me happy.
